Forecast for Wednesday, January 8, 2020

Some say snow is a four letter word. But what does the dictionary know! (for you kids under 30, a dictionary is a book full of words and their definitions) A few flakes flying in Catalina, and Corona de Tucson early Friday morning? It could happen as snow levels drop to 3,500 – 4,000 feet with our next system. The bad news (if you like snow) is that it won’t amount to much or anything. Maybe a dusting? Probably nothing to email home about, but, you are saying there’s a chance! It is worth staying tuned for…

Mostly sunny today with some high cloudiness for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. High in the low 70s. Clear tonight upper 30s

Increasing clouds tomorrow as our storm approacheth. High in the mid 60s. Rain tomorrow night into early Friday morning with a low in the upper 30s. Sunny and cool Friday mid 50s. Freezing to start the day Saturday recovering into the low 60s. Low 60s Sunday and Monday. Upper 60s Tuesday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Tuesday, January 7, 2020

As my Dad says, “I’m a man of few words and I use them often.” Pretty straight forward forecast. You could read yesterday’s blurb or just read on. It’s pretty much the same… Increasing clouds as a storm misses us to the north and a second storm approacheth. Rain and mountain snow for Thursday night perhaps lingering into Friday morning. Then it’s back to the Sun for the weekend. Specifically this:

Mostly sunny today near 70ish. Mostly clear tonight upper 30s. Partly sunny maΓ±ana near 70 again. Partly cloudy Thursday mid 60s. Rain showers with mountain snow Thursday night into Friday morning then clearing skies. Friday’s high in the mid 50s. Sunny Saturday and Sunday low 60s. Near 60 Monday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Monday, January 6, 2020

Fairly quiet weather rules the roost right now. Highs slightly above the average high of 65 for this time year and pretty close to the average low of 39. Subtle changes through mid week before our next system brings us a chance for some rain and mountain snow Thursday night into Friday morning. One interesting note. Enough Tucsonans were heading up to Summerhaven to play in the snow yesterday that the Pima County Sheriff’s Office had to restrict traffic! Hopefully someone brought down a truckload of snow and built an Old Pueblo Snowman πŸ™‚ Winter continues…

Sunny near 70ish today. Mostly clear tonight with a low near 40ish.

A couple of storms missing us to the north will increase our clouds the next couple of days for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. (always nice) Mostly sunny near 70 again tomorrow. Partly sunny Wednesday upper 60s. Mostly sunny Thursday low 60s. A chance for rain Thursday night into Friday morning. Friday’s high in the upper 50s. Mostly sunny mid 60s Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Sunday, January 5, 2020

Pretty nice weather if you like 70s in January. I’m guessing the Snowbirds are on board! 70 yesterday with a couple of degrees added on this afternoon. A storm and then another storm missing us to the north will cool us down a bit as we get into the week. Then it’s a chance for showers and some mountain snow as the storm track tracks south. Details, details…

Sunny 72 today. Clear near 40ish by tomorrow morning. Upper 60s to near 70 tomorrow and Tuesday. Partly sunny for Wednesday upper 60s. A chance for showers starting Wednesday night into Thursday with a high near 60ish. A slight chance for showers Friday mid 50s! Sunny Saturday low 60s. Enjoyeth!

Forecast for Saturday, January 4, 2020

Gorgeous Winter Weekend! Sometimes it’s good to be above average. High pressure overhead for the weekend with warm (for this time of year) afternoons. Storms missing us to the north will start to bring the highs down a bit next week with a slight chance for showers by Friday. Time will tell so you might as well stay tuned!

Sunny today with a high in the upper 60s to near 70ish. Low 70s tomorrow. Mid 60s Monday. Upper 60s Tuesday. Partly sunny upper 60s Wednesday. Sunny low 60s Thursday. Slight chance for showers Friday upper 50s. Enjoy!

Forecast for Friday, January 3, 2020

Don’t look now, but the airport picked up .02″ of an inch of rain yesterday! We are now on the board for 2020. Not sure that was in the forecast. πŸ™‚ It happens. (it happened!) Let’s take another swing at it shall we? High pressure building in this weekend for a nice warm up. Then a series of storms missing us to the north will knock our temperatures down a bit next week with a slight chance for showers by Thursday. Here we go!

Sorry Phil Collins, but jackets are required this morning. (Phil and I share the same birthday, btw) After a start in the low to mid 30s we should rebound to the low 60s. Not bad.

Sunny and warmer this weekend. Near 70ish tomorrow. Low 70s Sunday. Then we cool down some and add more clouds each day. Mostly sunny Monday upper 60s. Partly cloudy Tuesday upper 60s. Partly sunny Wednesday upper 60s. Slight chance for showers Thursday low 60s. Enjoy!

Forecast for Thursday, January 2, 2020

2020 is the best year ever so far! Let’s hope this trend continues πŸ™‚

Not a lot going on weather-wise. A system well to the north and east is helping to cool us off a bit with maybe a few high clouds for possible sunset enhancement. Today’s high in the upper 50s.

Chilly again tonight (mmm Chili’s) with a low in the mid 30s. Locally near freezing, so keep that in mind.

A warming trend starts tomorrow into the weekend. Low 60s tomorrow. Upper 60s Saturday. Low 70s Sunday. Upper 60s Monday. Mid 60s Tuesday. Partly sunny mid 60s Wednesday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Wednesday, January 1, 2020

It’s a good thing no one writes checks anymore or I swear I’d be putting 2019 on accident for weeks. They say hindsight is 2020 but here it is right in front of us. I am optimistic that this year is gonna be great! Happy 2020!!!

Well that is a first. The National Weather Service is calling for areas of smoke until 8am due to firework celebrations last night. (hopefully your pets are chill and didn’t freak out) So. I guess there will be areas of smoke (and second hand smoke I suppose). Otherwise a sunny day today with a few high clouds for possible sunset enhancement and a high in the low 60s. Scattered College Football Bowl Games possible as well πŸ™‚

Partly cloudy tonight as a system misses us to the NE and E. Low in the upper 30s.

Call it sunny tomorrow (because it’s gonna be) and cooler with a high in the upper 50s. A warming trend for the first weekend of the New Year! low 60s Friday. Upper 60s Saturday. Low 70s Sunday! Upper 60s Monday. Mid 60s Tuesday. Cheers!

Forecast for Tuesday, December 31, 2019

It’s the last day of 2019 and the last day of the 2010s!!! (twenty-tens? twenty-teens?) Where does the time go? The future. The time goes into the future. The last day of the year is always a good time to look back or at least recap. Since there is no rain in the forecast I can confidently say that we will end the year with 13.62″ of rain. That is just over 2 inches above average for 2019. Good job y’all! December really brought it home with 1.20″ this month. Since “forecast” is all about the future, let’s get into it. Instead of getting all Psychic Chloe on you and try to predict the entire new year, how about we just look at the next 7 days or so? Deal.

A system way off the Baja California coast is throwing some clouds our way. Those will decrease later today as the low sinks farther south and east. Call it partly sunny today with a high near 60ish.

Mostly clear tonight and, yes, chilly. (mmm Chili’s) with a low in the mid 30s to start 2020.

Sunny and cool tomorrow, but pleasant in the Sun with a high in the low 60s. A system missing us to the north and east may bring some breezes for Thursday and a bit cooler in the upper 50s. Warming up for the weekend! Low 60s Friday. Near 70ish Saturday. Low 70s Sunday! Upper 60s Monday. Have a prosperous and Happy New Year!!!

Forecast for Friday, December 20, 2019

It’s Friiidaaay!!! Not just any Friday, but the Friday before Christmas! It’s a hustle and bustle weekend and the weather will be just fine. Clouds increasing starting tomorrow night as our first storm approacheth. By Monday night into Christmas Eve it looks like rain showers and snow showers above 6,000 feet. Not a ton of moisture, but maybe a quarter inch of rain for some around the metro and a few inches of snow for Summerhaven. A break in the action on Christmas Day, but we won’t be out of the woods yet. (were we ever in the woods?) More systems rolling through the rest of next week for more rain and mountain snow to pad our yearly above average totals! Grab some coffee and lets look at the particulars as we know them…

Chilly this morning (mmm Chili’s) with sunshine today warming to the upper 60s by this afternoon.

Jacket weather again tonight with a low in the upper 30s.

Mostly sunny tomorrow low 70s. Partly sunny Sunday low 70s. Mostly cloudy Monday near 70ish. Rain chances commence Monday night with a 50% chance on Tuesday high in the upper 50s. Partly sunny Christmas Day near 60ish. Partly sunny Thursday with a chance for showers near 60. Enjoy!
