Forecast for Wednesday, January 29, 2020

It’ll be hard to tell, but a weak and dry storm will be moving through tonight. Perhaps a bit breezy this afternoon, but a lot of sunshine today and cool like yesterday. High in the mid 60s. A slight chance for light rain tonight and maybe an inch or two of snow above 7,000 feet (I’m looking at you Summerhaven), but clearing out by morning and chilly (mmm Chili’s) with a low in the upper 30s.

Cooler behind the storm tomorrow with sunshine low 60s. (it’s tough being the cool kids) Warming up for the weekend! Mid 60s Friday. Low 70s Saturday. Mid 70s Sunday.

A storm appraocheth for next week! We can make it colder, stronger, and wetter. (the Steve Austin storm? let’s go with it!) We’ll have to keep an eye on this one as snow levels will be quite low with a decent shot for cold rain and low mountain snow. We’ll know more as it gets closer. (and even more after it’s done!) Right now let’s call it mostly sunny and breezy Monday with a 20% chance for showers and a high in the low 60s. A slight chance for rain and snow showers Tuesday (you read that right. that is a quote from the official NWS forecast) with a high in the mid 50s. Stay Tuned!!!

Forecast for Tuesday, January 28, 2020

So you’re saying there’s a chance?! No. Not really. A tale of two systems on this Twofer Tuesday. The first one moving through yesterday cooling us off to an average high for this time of year of 67. We’ll be close to that again today. The second system is starved for moisture, but maybe it’ll squeeze out a few drops tomorrow night. Maybe. Then it’s sunshine with a warm up just in time for a super weekend. Looks like another storm by Monday. Details details…

Sunny today with a high in the upper 60s. Upper 30s to start the day tomorrow. Partly cloudy tomorrow afternoon mid 60s. Slight chance for light rain (half the calories of our regular rain) tomorrow night upper 30s. Sunny mid 60s Thursday. Upper 60s Friday. Low 70s Saturday. Partly sunny Sunday mid 70s. Slight chance for showers and breezy Monday low 70s. Enjoy!

Forecast for Monday, January 27, 2020

Come Monday it’ll be all right… cooler, but alright. Kinda cloudy this morning but those clouds will disappear (magic!) and we’ll be left with sunshine and a high in the upper 60s. Upper 30s to start the day tomorrow. Sunny upper 60s again tomorrow afternoon. A few more clouds and cooler again on Wednesday mid 60s. Sunny mid 60s Thursday. Upper 60s Friday. Low 70s Saturday. Upper 70s!!! Sunday! Enjoy 🙂

Forecast for Sunday, January 26, 2020

It most certainly is Sun Day! Low 70s again today. Perfection for late January. Cooling off tomorrow as a system skirts us to the north. (since I have never worn a skirt, I have never been skirted, but there you go) Upper 60s Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and a bit chilly at night (mmm chili) with lows in the upper 30s. Cooler on Thursday mid 60s. Upper 60s Friday. Mid 70s Saturday! Enjoy!

Forecast for Saturday, January 25, 2020

“Sunshine. In my eyes can make me blind.” or I think the song goes something like that. Amazing weekend already in progress! Low 70s again today and tomorrow. Lows in the low 40s. A system missing us to the north (missed it by that much) will knock our temperatures closer to normal as we get into next week. upper 60s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mid 60s Thursday. Back near 70ish on Friday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Friday, January 24, 2020

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

The weekend forecast is nothing if not consistent. Low 70s for highs. Low 40s for lows. Some thin high clouds from time to time that won’t hinder the Sun, but may lead to sunrise and sunset enhancement. No football on TV, (the Pro Bowl doesn’t really count does it?) so no excuses not to get out there and hit someone! (sorry. my football coach jumped in my head there for a second) Perhaps “go take a hike” is not the insult it is sometimes meant to be 🙂

A little cooler next week, but still super nice! Near 70ish Monday and Tuesday. Upper 60s Wednesday and Thursday. Not quite “go jump in a lake” weather, but we’ll take it! Enjoy.

Forecast for Thursday, January 23, 2020

Happy Friday Eve! (makes the weekend seem closer) Someone alert the various Chambers (Chamberi?) of Commerces. It’s proverbial Chamber of Commerce weather for Tucson and environs. Some patchy fog this morning (hey, sometimes a cloud wants to hang out on the ground) and then it’s mostly clear sailing and other trite phrases. Enough butchering of the English Language! Let’s get to the forecast…

Patchy fog this morning otherwise a sunny day with a high in the upper 60s. Clear tonight low 40s. Mostly sunny tomorrow low 70s. Sunny Saturday and Sunday low 70s. Upper 60s Monday. Mid 60s Tuesday. Upper 60s Wednesday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Wednesday, January 22, 2020

Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike. What day is it Mike? It’s the day after it rained .38″ at the airport! Bringing our monthly and year to day total to .61″ which is just .02″ below average. Good job playing catch up! Some patchy fog out there this morning so keep an eye out (get it? eye patch? never mind) Drying out and warming up through the weekend. Let’s do this!

Patchy fog this morning otherwise a mostly sunny day today with a high in the low 60s. Mostly clear tonight upper 30s. Sunny upper 60s tomorrow. Low 70s Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Near 70ish Monday. Mid 60s Tuesday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Tuesday, January 21, 2020

I grew up in Oregon and my Dad would like to say, “Think it’ll rain?” Since we grow up to become our parents, (I love the saying. hate the commercials) I’ll ask you. Think it’ll rain?! Just Scotch Guard the kids and you’ll be fine! Yesterday we talked about how the forecast went from a slight chance of sprinkles to a chance for light showers. Reality is everyone is getting wet this morning. You get rain. And you get rain. And you get rain! That’s one thing I love about the weather. It can still surprise us! The system moves through today (like you trust anything I’m about to say 🙂 ) and the rain should end from west to east later this morning. Still a chance for showers throughout the day with decreasing clouds later tonight. Then it’s sunshine and butterflies with a warming trend through next weekend.

Rain this morning with a slight chance for showers this afternoon and a high near 60ish. A chance for sprinkles tonight becoming partly cloudy and a low in the mid 40s. Mostly sunny tomorrow mid 60s. Sunny upper 60s Thursday. Low 70s Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Upper 60s Monday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Monday, January 20, 2020

78 yesterday! Amazing.

Well that escalated quickly! We went from no chance of rain tomorrow to 40%, so the new thinking is maybe it’ll rain tomorrow! (those finicky computer models) Only .15″ or so expected in valley locales, so not exactly a good soaking. 1 to 4 inches of snow possible way up there above 8,000 feet. Then it’s back to mostly sunshine for the rest of the forecast. Particularly this:

Partly sunny and a bit breezy today with SE winds gusting over 20 mph and a high in the low 70s. Slight chance for rain tonight near 50ish. Best chance for rain will be tomorrow in the middle of the day with a high in the mid 60s. Mostly sunny Wednesday mid 60s. Sunny Thursday upper 60s. Near 70ish Friday. Low 70s Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy!
