Forecast for Saturday, September 8, 2018

Roses are red. Violets are true. The sun will be bright and the sky will be blue. Highs near 100 and lows near 74. Today’s record is 105 so I guess the heat could be more. Upper 90s Monday and Tuesday with high pressure ruling the roost. Then it moves into New Mexico to give our moisture a boost! Still just a slight chance for storms expected the middle of next week. We’ll just have to wait and see if reality matches that of which I speak.

Have a great weekend! Signed, the friendly folk at Tucson Weather 😎

Forecast for Friday, September 7, 2018

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

When is a 10% chance for storms not a zero percent chance for storms? When it’s yesterday! Most of us (but not all) with at least a little bit of rain as Monsoon 2018 decided she wanted to hang out one more evening before she ghosts us for awhile. Drier air already moving in and we’ll be on the warm side through the weekend into next week with highs in the upper 90s to near 100ish. Coffee on the deck lows will be pleasantly pleasant with lows in the low 70s. Moisture moving back in next week with a 10% chance for showers and storms Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with highs in then upper 90s and lows in the low 70s. Enjoy!

Forecast for Thursday, September 6, 2018

Roses are red. Mostly sunny skies are mostly blue. Slight chance for storms. Hopefully near you!

Monsoon 2018 trying to hang in there for us. Unfortunately the trough moving through the state is pushing the moisture east so just a 10% chance this afternoon and evening. High pressure building off the California coast this weekend will put us in a northerly flow and push Monsoon moisture into Mexico. Highs near 100 Saturday and Sunday. Upper 90s Monday and Tuesday. Monsoon moisture heading back our way with a slight chance of storms returning to us Tuesday night and Wednesday. Wednesday’s high in the upper 90s. Lows in the low 70s, so amazing coffee on the deck weather! Enjoy.

Forecast for Wednesday, September 5, 2018

So gorgeous on the deck with a cup of coffee this morning! Temperature near 70 with a dewpoint near 60. Lots of sunshine today, but with enough moisture hanging in there for a storm or two possible this evening, hopefully near you. As high pressure builds to our west a northerly flow will push Monsoon 2018 back into Mexico. The drier air will give us higher highs, but still pleasant lows through the weekend into next week. Enjoy!

I’m not giving up on Monsoon 2018 just yet. So far 6.20″ has fallen for the season officially at the airport. Already past the average TOTAL Monsoon of 6.06″ and well above the average Monsoon to date (as of Sept. 2nd) of 4.91″. Officially we are doing really well and we still have a couple three weeks to add to the totals.

Meanwhile back to the forecast. Sunny tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday with highs in the upper 90s and lows in the low to mid 70s. 100ish Sunday. Upper 90s Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for Tuesday, September 4, 2018

Monsoon 2018. She’s hanging in there at least one more day after a very quiet Labor Day. There was a lone storm over Oracle last evening. Otherwise, it was a mostly sunny and cool day! You know. By Tucson Labor Day standards. Another cool day today near 93 with enough moisture for a storm or three this afternoon, hopefully near you! Better chances to our east and that’s where they’ll remain for the rest of the week. Warming up as the weekend approacheth. Sunny mid 90s tomorrow. Upper 90s Thursday and Friday. Near 100ish Saturday. Upper 90s Sunday and Monday. Enjoy!
