Forecast for Thursday, November 22, 2018

Happy Thanksgiving! If you are visiting family, welcome to the best weather in the world!

A weak system traversing the region has brought us a veil of high clouds. Perhaps that will mean sunrise enhancement this morning. One must only wait until 6:50ish to see if it’s gonna pop. A little cooler than yesterday and right on point for average for this time of year for both high and low. (you can always go to tucsonweather.us and see the Almanac for every day going back a couple years at least) Pleasant enough for devouring turkey, or pheasant! Even though some retailers hold out some special deals for early morning Friday, Black Friday isn’t what it used to be. Forecasting that Friday morning low used to be of great interest! Now, not so much. No worries. I’m not bitter. A little cooler and clearing skies tomorrow behind today’s disturbance in the force. Then we hold steady through the weekend into next week with occasional high clouds for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. Pretty nice weather for those sunset hikes… Enjoy!

Mostly cloudy today with a high near 70ish. Mostly cloudy tonight mid 40s. Mostly sunny tomorrow upper 60s. Sunny low 70s Saturday. Near 70 Sunday, and Monday. Low 70s Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Forecast for Wednesday, November 21, 2018

Is it coincidence or some sort of sick onomatopoeia that turkeys go gobble gobble gobble? Either way, Happy Turkey Eve! (happy Black Thursday and Friday eve as well, but that’s a whole new show…) Lots to be thankful for of course. The weather shouldn’t be a point of contention. High pressure moving east today so still warm this afternoon as it exits. Increasing high clouds this afternoon/evening for possible sunset enhancement as our weak system moves in. Mostly cloudy tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night and maybe a few sprinkles, but not expecting any more than that. Our next system moving well to our north and east Saturday will keep our highs from going higher. The system after that should be to our SW Monday, so maybe just a few clouds from that one. No real rain in the forecast and pretty close to average for this time of year into next week. Enjoy!

Sunny today with increasing high clouds this afternoon mid 70s. Mostly cloudy tonight upper 40s. Mostly cloudy tomorrow near 70ish. Mostly sunny Friday upper 60s. Sunny low 70s Saturday. Near 70 Sunday, and Monday. Low 70s Tuesday.

Forecast for Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Over the wash and past the Saguaro to grandmother’s house we go… and there’s a chance (so you’re saying there’s a chance) that you might get sprinkled on on Thanksgiving. Maybe. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. A few high clouds out there last night for some sunset enhancement and perhaps a few for some sunrise enhancement this morning. The weak system that is currently moving through won’t do much else except drop our temperature a couple degrees tomorrow. Our next system due in here for Thanksgiving will increase the clouds ahead of it Wednesday and especially Wednesday night with a slight chance for a few sprinkles Thanksgiving Day. Then we clear our out and chill through the weekend into next week. Enjoy!

Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 70s. Mid 40s tonight. Mid 70s tomorrow. Partly sunny Thanksgiving Day low 70s. Mostly sunny Friday upper 60s. Sunny near 70ish Saturday. Upper 60s Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for Monday, November 19, 2018

Exactly average yesterday. Well, pretty much. The high was 73 which is 1 above the average of 72 and the low was 44 which is 1 below the average of 45. Average 1 above with 1 below and you get average. Math!

A couple of systems are poised to move across Arizona this week. The first is off the southern California coast right now. It is expected to weaken as it moves across tomorrow bringing an increase in high clouds later today for possible sunset enhancement. The second is a deepening trough over the Great Basin that will likely mostly miss us to the north and east as it drops into the southern Rockies. Maybe a few snow showers for the ski area in the White Mountains, but it’s likely we will stay dry. Temperatures hanging out in the mid 70s/mid 40s through Wednesday. Low 70s and partly sunny Thanksgiving. Upper 60s Friday. Near 70 Saturday. Upper 60s Sunday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Sunday, November 18, 2018

Maybe rain and mountain snow for Thanksgiving after all! Maybe. Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Considerable high clouds blocking our view of the Leonid Meteor Shower this early morning. High clouds should start to thin by this afternoon, but hopefully some sunrise and sunset enhancement for our trouble. A weak system moves through Tuesday for a few extra clouds and then another system for Thanksgiving. The second is starting to look interesting as one of the computer models is calling for valley rain and mountain snow. We’ll see if the others start to move that way as well. Stay tuned!

Decreasing high clouds this afternoon with a high in the low 70s. Mostly clear tonight low 40s. Sunny tomorrow mid 70s. Mostly sunny Tuesday mid 70s. Sunny Wednesday low 70s. Partly sunny Thanksgiving upper 60s. Sunny upper 60s Friday and Saturday. Enjoy!
