Forecast for Sunday, May 10, 2020

No rain officially at the airport yesterday. If it’s gonna happen it’s gonna have to be today. Thankfully there is a 30% chance for storms this afternoon! Hopefully near you. Monsoon hasn’t kicked in yet, so moisture levels, while sufficient for scattered showers and storms, are still lacking. That means gusty winds near showers as some of the rain evaporates on its way down to the ground. Could get some dry lightning too. (sounds like a brand name for Moonshine) Back to a westerly flow bringing drier air starting tomorrow and not too hot.

Happy Mother’s Day! Maybe a shower or storm near you. Gusty dusty winds near showers, so watch out for tablecloths flying! (The NWS should issue a FLYING TABLECLOTH WATCH hashtag #justsayin) High this afternoon in the mid 90s. Slight chance for a lingering shower tonight low 60s.

Becoming sunny tomorrow low 90s. Low 90s Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday too. Mid 90s Saturday. Enjoy!
