March is coming in like a lamb. Will it go out like a lion? Well. Predicting the future is hard. We’ll have to wait and see. A couple of weak systems missing us to the north will provide some clouds from time to time for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. It’ll stay warm and mostly dry. Our first 80 degree day of the year could come on Tuesday. Enjoy!
Mostly sunny today with a high in the upper 70s. Partly cloudy tonight with a not so low low in the low 50s. Mid 70s tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. Near 80ish Tuesday. A 10% chance for showers Wednesday upper 70s. Mostly sunny mid 70s Thursday.
Gorgeous! I mean. If you like the warm stuff. A couple of systems moving through just to our north will give us some cloudiness Friday night and Saturday and then again Tuesday night and Wednesday of next week. Even then it should remain dry and on the warm side. Otherwise just a few high clouds for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. Enjoy!
Mostly sunny today mid 70s. Mostly clear tonight mid 40s. Upper 70s tomorrow. Upper 70s and maybe 80 on Saturday. Mid 70s Sunday and Monday. Upper 70s Tuesday and Wednesday.
I hear it’s good to be above average. 75 yesterday was 5 degrees above our average for this time of year and we’ll be soaring to new heights this weekend! Cloud cover overnight has covered us like a warm blanket (with Downey? Maybe) keeping the warmth from escaping back into space as much. So a warm start to a nice day with decreasing clouds by this afternoon. Nuthin’ but Sun tomorrow. A few high clouds from time to time through the weekend and into next week for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. Enjoy!
Gradual clearing today with a high in the low 70s. Clear tonight near 45ish. Sunny 75 tomorrow. Mostly sunny Friday and Saturday upper 70s. Mid 70s Sunday. Low 70s Monday. Upper 70s Tuesday.
I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now. From deluge to dry. and still somehow. Is it cloud delusions I recall? Do I really know clouds at all???
A storm missing us to the north will spread clouds across the land. Perhaps sunrise and sunset enhancements coming our way! Quite a bit of cloudiness by tonight into tomorrow and then tons o’ sun Thursday and Friday. Another northern storm will send clouds overhead just in time for the weekend, but it remain warm and dry. Enjoy!
Increasing clouds today with a high in the low 70s. Mostly cloudy tonight with a low in the upper 40s. Mostly cloudy tomorrow mid 70s. Mostly sunny Thursday and Friday mid 70s. Partly sunny Saturday upper 70s. Mostly sunny Sunday mid 70s. Sunny Monday low 70s.
Happy Monday! It could happen. Especially if you like the Sun. The warming trend continues this week as storms will be missing us to the north. One close enough to increase our clouds Tuesday night and Wednesday, otherwise it’s mostly sunny skies with possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. Enjoy!
Mostly sunny today with a high in the upper 60s. Mostly clear tonight near 40ish. Sunny tomorrow low 70s. Partly sunny Wednesday mid 70s. Sunny Thursday and Friday mid 70s. Mostly sunny Saturday mid 70s. Low 70s Sunday.
The plants got to hang out inside one more night and once the Sun starts to warm things up this morning it’s back on the deck. Let the warming trend begin! I guess the big question is will the road to Mt. Lemmon open up today? If so, look for a crush of humanity to head up the hill to play in the snow! A few high clouds from time to time this week for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement. Mostly cloudy Tuesday night and partly sunny Wednesday as a system misses us to the north, but no threat of rain or snow around these parts. Temperatures actually slightly above average (70) by Tuesday into Saturday. Enjoy!
Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 60s. Mostly clear tonight upper 30s. Upper tomorrow. Low 70s Tuesday. Partly sunny Wednesday mid 70s. Sunny Thursday mid 70s. Mostly sunny Saturday low 70s.
Here we are. 7:30 in the morning with frost covering everything and all of the mountains covered in snow. Maybe you live in Corona de Tucson or Catalina and you still have snow on the ground and probably icy streets. What a remarkable day we had yesterday! Record rainfall at the airport at 1.03″ and record snowfall at 1.9″! Crazy amazing = Cramazing! (I just made up a word) Summerhaven picked up a couple of feet of snow. I wonder when they’ll open Catalina Highway and I also wonder how long the wait will be to get up there when they do.
No more storms in the forecast. Just a warming trend. Enjoy!
Sunny today near 50ish. Clear and cold tonight upper 20s. Mostly sunny tomorrow low 60s. Upper 60s Monday. Low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Mid 70s Thursday and Friday.
Are you ready? The storm is moving in. Phrases like “blizzard like conditions” and “rain could be heavy at times” are being thrown around. For good reason! Because there could be blizzard like conditions (should that be hyphenated?) in the mountains and the rain could be heavy at times from this storm! If you have hatches you might want to batten them down. I grew up in Oregon so I don’t have an umbrella, but if you didn’t grow up in Oregon perhaps a handy umbrella would be, um, handy. Rain, heavy at times, by this afternoon lasting through Friday. Still not sure if we will see snow in the Metro by Saturday morning. It will be close. Still expecting 3 to 4 feet of snow in Summerhaven. Three-quarters to an inch and a half of rain for valley locations with isolated amounts up to two inches.
The storm moves out Saturday and we’ll start to warm up. Pretty much average for this time of year by Tuesday and Wednesday. Stay tuned!
Showers and breezy today with a high in the low 50s. Showers tonight with heavy rain possible and a low in the low 40s. Showers tomorrow with heavy rain possible and a high in the mid 40s. A chance for rain and snow showers late Friday night becoming mostly clear and a low in the upper 20s. Sunny Saturday low 50s. Low 60s Sunday. Mid 60s Monday. Upper 60s Tuesday. Near 70ish Wednesday. Enjoy!
The HARD FREEZE WARNING expires this morning at 8:00, but not before we experience a hard freeze. It’s 31 out there right now (4:37 a.m. what am I doing up since before 4:00 a.m.? great question!) and we will likely fall a few more degrees before the Sun comes up at 7:01. That heavy coat of yours is getting some use this Winter! High temperatures staying well below the average of 69 for this time of year. And…
You might want to sit down for this forecast. A major Winter storm is heading our way. Let’s just go through the snowfall amounts that are in Summerhaven’s official from the National Weather Service forecast. A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect from 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning until 5:00 p.m. Friday. Snow, heavy at times, tomorrow with 10-14 inches of snow accumulation possible. Snow, heavy at times, tomorrow night with 14-20 inches of ADDITIONAL snow possible. Snow, heavy at times, Friday with 8 to 12 inches of new snow possible. Add another inch or two perhaps Friday night!!! So. Doing some simple math… that adds up to 33″-48″ (basically three to four feet!) of snow for Summerhaven. WOW! is all I can say. Also. Do you know someone who might let me stay up there in their cabin??? 😃
Meanwhile, back down here at the ranch, we are looking at increasing clouds tonight with a 100% chance for rain tomorrow, tomorrow night and Friday. Rain, heavy at times, with three-quarters of an inch to an inch and a half possible from this storm. Snow levels starting around 5,000 feet tomorrow dropping down to 2,000 – 3,000 feet before the storm is done late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Oracle could see 6″-12″ of snow! Tucson (yes, Tucson) could (maybe!) see a trace to 3 inches of snow! Vail, Corona de Tucson, Catalina, Saddlebrooke will likely have some snowman building snowfall. Tucson maybe! Still a couple dayz out. Stay tuned!!!
The Sun returns by the weekend and we start to warm up some. Still a few degrees below average by Tuesday.
Sunny today with a high in the mid 50s. Increasing clouds tonight low 40s. Showers likely tomorrow morning with rain in the afternoon and breezy with a high in the low 50s. Rain, heavy at times, tomorrow night low 40s. Rain, heavy at times, Friday mid 40s. A chance for rain showers Friday night before midnight then a slight chance for rain and snow showers becoming partly cloudy upper 20s. Sunny Saturday low 50s. Near 60ish Sunday. Low 60s Monday. Mid 60s Tuesday. Enjoy!
A HARD FREEZE WARNING in effect tonight from 11:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Please. For the sake of all that is right and good let the teenagers sleep inside tonight! Also. Tonight’s record low is 25 set in 1955. Do we dare get that cold? The forecast is close at 27. We’ll see. We are between storms today and tomorrow. A lot of sunshine, but not very warm. Especially when you consider the average high for this time of year is 69. We’ll be at least 15 degrees colder than that through Saturday!
The next storm looks cold and very wet. A foot or three of snow for the mountains possible Thursday through Friday night! A WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect for Summerhaven from Thursday morning at 11:00 until Friday evening at 5:00. Three-quarters to an inch and a half of rain perhaps for us lowlanders. Also. Maybe (maybe) some snow mixed in in the Metro Friday night/Saturday morning. That didn’t really pan out last night, so we’ll see.
The Sun returns this weekend with a high on Sunday near 60ish! Still below average, but some rays of hope. (see what I did there?)
Sunny and cool today with a high in the low 50s. Clear and cold tonight with a low in the upper 20s. Sunny mid 50s tomorrow. Showers and breezy Thursday low 50s. Rain, heavy at times, Thursday night and Friday. Friday’s high in the upper 40s. A chance for rain and snow showers Friday night with a low in the upper 20s. Sunny Saturday low 50s. Sunny Sunday 60ish. Mid 60s Monday.
