Not as chilly (mmm chili) this morning, but for us thin-blooded Arizonans it’s still cold enough to grab the jacket this morning (and actually put it on). Starting in the low 40s right now, but a nice recovery this afternoon into the low 70s. A few high clouds for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement is always nice if it happens. (the main storm will be well to our north, but it is expected to pull some subtropical moisture northward) Rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a quarter of an inch, but we’ll take it! Snow levels way up there so Summerhaven may get an inch of snow before it turns to rain. System gets out of here Friday with clearing skies and a high in the low 60s. Snow levels lowering to 6,000 feet perhaps with only a few inches of fresh snow expected for Summerhaven. Rain in the Metro up to only .20″, but we’ll take it! So. It’s Friiidaaay!!!

Our storm is skedaddling leaving coolness in its wake. We did pick up a bit of rain and mountain snow. .03″ at the airport (beats a swift kick) and it looks like maybe 4″ of a fresh coat of snow in Summerhaven where snow showers linger this morning.

Call it sunny today (because it will be) with a high only in the upper 50s. Freezing by tomorrow morning. Please. For the love of all that is right and good let the teenagers sleep inside tonight.
