Forecast for Tuesday, February 5, 2019

As one storm exits stage east, another approacheth from the NW. Yesterday’s rain showers pushed us over a half inch for the last two days officially at the airport. Some areas in the Metro picking up an inch or so! As always, your individual mileage may vary. Our next storm is bringing Old Man Winter back to Tucson’s Weather. (why is Winter an old man?) The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY above 6,000 feet starting this evening at 5:00 lasting through 11:00 tomorrow morning. Be advised, there will be winter weather above 6,000 feet. Summerhaven is expecting 4 to 8 inches from the storm. And. There may be some light accumulations as low as 4,000 feet tomorrow morning! Can we push that down to Corona de Tucson, Vail, SaddleBrooke? I’m not gonna say it can’t happen, but more likely a dusting in Oracle perhaps. (maybe) There is a lot of moisture here thanx to the SW flow ahead of the storm, so rain is likely in the Metro tonight and tomorrow morning with lingering showers into the afternoon. COLD (you know it’s COLD when we break out the BOLD!) behind the storm with clearing skies tomorrow night and a low in the upper 20s Thursday morning! brrrr. Near freezing Friday morning. Highs only in the low to mid 50s the next couple of days. Despite a warming trend through the weekend, highs near or slight below average for this time of year with sunshine. Stay tuned!

Mostly cloudy today with a 20% chance for showers and a high in the low 60s. Showers likely tonight with a low in the low 40s. Showers likely tomorrow morning with isolated showers perhaps lingering into the afternoon with a high only in the low 50s. Mostly clear Wednesday night with a Thursday morning low in the upper 20s! Sunny Thursday mid 50s. Freezing ish Friday morning with an afternoon high in the upper 60s. Mostly sunny upper 60s Saturday. Mid 60s Sunday. Partly sunny Monday mid 60s. Enjoy!
