Forecast for Saturday, October 6, 2018

Sometimes it’s good to be below average! (don’t ask me how I know that) Yesterday’s high of 84 was 4 degrees below yesterday’s average high for this time of year and the low of 59 was 2 degrees below yesterday’s seasonal average (and amazing for coffee on the deck/patio/roof). The “cool” weather continues with another day topping out at 84 before a storm starts to move in. More clouds and a slight chance of storms this evening with a low in the low 60s. Scattered storms possible tomorrow with storms likely tomorrow night! 30% tomorrow with a high in the mid 70s. 60% tomorrow night low 50s. 50% Columbus Day Monday with a high of just 70!

Skies clear and we warm up a bit Tuesday and Wednesday with highs near 75 and 80 respectively.

Then it’s moisture from Hurricane Sergio expected to move in enough to give us a chance for showers and storms Thursday and Friday. 40% Thursday with a high in the mid 70s. 20% Friday mid 70s. Stay tuned!

Forecast for Friday, October 5, 2018

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

It’s much drier as evidenced by the temperature falling to 60 degrees so far for a low this morning. Refreshingly cool on the deck this morning! Almost chilly. (mmm chili) A storm missing us to the north today will keep our highs below average for this time of year topping out in the mid 80s today and tomorrow. Lows in the upper 50s to near 60. Awesomeness!

Here comes a storm for Sunday into Columbus Day. Gusty winds and a chance for showers and cool. Mountain showers for the higher elevations in the White Mountains and maybe a few flakes on Mt. Lemmon. Sunday’s high near 78 with a 50% chance for showers and storms. South winds 10-20 mph gusting to near 30. 50% Sunday night mid 50s. 40% Monday low 70s. 10% Monday night low 50s!

Sunny on Tuesday mid 70s. Near 80 Wednesday.

Then there’s Hurricane Sergio. Models still show him (and his moisture) moving towards Baja California next week and Arizona by Thursday ish. Right now we’ll go with a 20% chance for rain Thursday upper 70s. Stay tuned!

Happy Friday Eve! Makes the weekend seem closer. Also it’s October 4th, a.k.a. 10-4 good buddy and the weather is A-OK. 🙂 Refreshingly cool on the deck this morning in the upper 60s! Still some moisture hanging around today, but no rain expected. This afternoon’s high very close to the average of 89.

Starting the day tomorrow and Saturday in the upper 50s! Kinda chilly (mmm chili) with highs in the mid 80s. Winds picking up on Saturday as our next storm approacheth.

Scattered storms on Sunday with a 30% chance for rain and a high in the upper 70s. 30% chance Sunday night, and maybe some high elevation snow, with a low in the mid 50s. Slight chance for a lingering shower Columbus Day mid 70s.

Warming up some Tuesday upper 70s and more on Wednesday low 80s. Don’t look now, but Hurricane Sergio is lurking off the Mexican coast and may make a move toward Baja California by the end of next week. Lots of uncertainty about whether Sergio will affect our weather, but we’ll keep an eye on it (him). Stay tuned!

Rosa has left the scene, but not after dropping beneficial rains across the area! What a great way to start October. She has left some moisture behind, so maybe a a lingering shower this morning. Otherwise becoming mostly sunny skies. Today’s high in the upper 80s.

A couple of systems missing us to the west will dry us out and keep us on the “cool” side with temperatures close to “average” for early October. Upper 80s tomorrow and mid 80s Friday and Saturday with lows in the upper 50s to near 60!

A Fall storm heads our way late in the Columbus Day weekend bringing a chance for rain and mountain snow! 10% Saturday night low 60s. 30% Sunday mid 70s. 20% Sunday night mid 50s. 10% Monday low 70s. Sunny Tuesday mid 70s. Enjoy!
