Forecast for Tuesday, October 16, 2018

That was fun! A few rumbles of thunder overnight along with some downpours to interrupt our pleasant dreams. The airport picked up .11″ last night before midnight and another .30″ since. Two weeks into October and we have over 2.00 inches for the month! A FLOOD ADVISORY is till in effect until 7:00 this morning. Be advised. There could be flooding. Most of the showers have moved off to the east, but it’s still raining as I type over the Rincons, portions of the Catalina’s, and in Vail. We could still see redevelopment of showers and storms today as our low moves into central Arizona. We’ll call it a 40% chance with a high in the low 70s. We should be cleared out for the most part by this evening with a low in the low 50s.

Our next storm (yes, two more actually) aren’t due in until the weekend. So. A bit of a warming trend the rest of the work week, but still below average for mid October. Crazy! I know.

Sunny tomorrow mid 70s with east breezes 10-20 mph and gusty. Sunny Thursday upper 70s. Low 80s Friday. Our next storm approacheth Saturday with a 20% chance for showers, breezy, and a high in the mid 80s. 30% Sunday low 80s. 10% Monday low 80s. Enjoy!

Forecast for Monday, October 15, 2018

I forget what round we are on! But. Another round of showers and storms expected as soon as this afternoon with a really good chance for showers and storms, some with locally heavy rainfall, for tonight and tomorrow. Cra cra!!! (is that how the kids spell it? idk) Anyway, east winds picking up and bringing us moisture from, you know, the east. A low forming to our west. And boom! The ingredients are in place for more rain and continued coolness for SE AZ. 20% chance for storms this afternoon and a high in the mid 70s. 70% tonight with an east southeast breeze 15-20 mph and gusty with a low in the low 50s. 40% tomorrow and breezy with a high in the upper 60s!

Another system forecast for the weekend, but a break in between. Sunny Wednesday and a bit breezy with a high in the mid 70s. Upper 70s Thursday. Low 80s Friday. 10% Saturday low 80s. 20% Sunday near 80.

Forecast for Sunday, October 14, 2018

Crazy! Rain pretty much all day yesterday and a high of only 67!!! Plus record rainfall of .69″ Then. Rain overnight adding .18″ at the airport, but some locations on the NW side getting up to an additional inch! I’m gonna plant some Douglas Fir trees just to see what happens. I have received a couple of complaints for my cool rain cheer leading, but please understand that I grew up near Portland, Oregon. I love it when Oregon weather comes to visit me in the desert! Plus, we can always use the rain.

Speaking of rain (and I think we were)… A slight chance for a lingering shower or storm today as our storm exits stage NE. High only in the low 70s Another storm is heading our way for tomorrow! 20% chance for showers or a storm by afternoon with a high in the low 70s. 50% chance overnight with a low in the low 50s. 40% Tuesday upper 60s!

Clearing out by Wednesday with a morning low near 50 and a high in the mid 70s. Upper 70s Thursday. Near 80 Friday. Low 80s Saturday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Saturday, October 13, 2018

A Pacific storm approacheth! As it interacts with moisture leftover (I love leftovers!) from Sergio we have a chance for rain, showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could contain up to an inch of rain for somebody! Hopefully near you. Today’s high in the low 70s. The storm is a slow mover, so storm chances tonight at 50% with a low in the mid 50s. Lingering storm chances tomorrow with a high in the low 70s.

A disturbance in the force drops down from the NW and brings us a slight chance for rain Monday and continued cool weather with a high in the low 70s despite plenty of sunshine! 20% chance Tuesday too with a high only in the upper 60s!!!

“Things” clear up Tuesday night with a chilly low (mmm chili) of 50 Wednesday morning and a high Wednesday in the mid 70s. Upper 70s Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for Friday, October 12, 2018

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

We are in full Sergio Surge mode! A steady light rain is falling and it’s 63 degrees. Amazing! Tropical Storm Sergio is making landfall today in central Baja California and will continue to move to the NE across northern Mexico as it weakens. The heaviest rain from Sergio should fall south and east of Tucson, but we can expect a good chance of rain through this morning in the Metro becoming more scattered this afternoon and evening. We might even manage mid 70s this afternoon.

Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for showers or a storm tonight with a low near 60.

A low approacheth from the west. As it moves closer tomorrow a few disturbances will rotate northward into SE Arizona giving us a decent shot at more rain and storms. Call it showers likely (70%) tomorrow with a high in the mid 70s. Showers likely (60%) tomorrow night with a low in the upper 50s.

A bit of a break Sunday but still a 20% for a lingering shower or storm with a high in the mid 70s. Another storm dropping into AZ early next week with slight storm chances Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid to low 70s. Sunny Wednesday mid 70s. Upper 70s Thursday. Enjoy!
